Day June 24th: Inti Raymi 2026
Breakfast at your hotel in Cusco.
Qoricancha (Public Stage)
7:40 a.m. The agency will pick you up with transport and guide to the first stage at Qoricancha (Golden Fence). 08:00 a.m. Meeting at Qoricancha to appreciate the Inca's departure with his retinue. 09:00–09:30 a.m. Invocation to the sun god.
Main Square (Public Stage)
10:00 a.m. Walk up to Main Square, then mobility to Sacsayhuamán (approx. 20 min).
Saqsayhuamán – Inti Raymi (Private Stage)
12:00 p.m. Sacsayhuamán (3,555 m.a.s.l.). 13:00 hrs box lunch and ceremony. Orange VIP Grandstand. Approx. 15:30 hrs end and return to hotels.
The Inti Raymi tour includes: Tourist Transport, Professional Guide, VIP grandstand entry at Sacsayhuamán, Box Lunch.
Recommendations: Windbreaker, comfortable clothing, small backpack, camera, cash, mineral water, sunscreen and hat.
Day 2 · June 25
Day June 25th: Machu Picchu
After breakfast, transfer to Ollantaytambo station (approx. 2 hours). Board the train to Machu Picchu Pueblo. Meet the guide at the bus station for the bus to the sanctuary (approx. 30 min). Present tickets and ID at the entrance. 2-hour guided visit, free time for photos. Return by bus to Aguas Calientes, lunch at APU INTI. Afternoon free. Board train to Ollantaytambo; agency transfer to Cusco.
The Machu Picchu tour includes: Tourist Transport Cusco–Ollantaytambo–Cusco, round trip train ticket, Professional Guide, bus up and down, Machu Picchu entrance tickets.
Recommendations: Warm clothing, small backpack, camera, cash, mineral water, sunscreen and hat.
Day 3 · June 26
Day June 26th: Cusco Out
Free morning to explore the city. At the appropriate time, transfer to Cusco airport.
This day includes: Transport, Airport – Hotel transfer.

Inti Raymi is the "Sun Festival," an ancient Inca celebration that pays tribute to the Sun God (Inti). The
current staging takes place in three settings: the Qoricancha, the Plaza de Armas, and the Sacsayhuamán
fortress, where the Inca performs rituals and offerings.
Yes, all our packages that include the day of Inti Raymi feature entry to the VIP grandstand (orange or
green) at Sacsayhuamán, ensuring the best view and comfort during the main ceremony.
We recommend resting for the first few hours upon arrival, drinking plenty of coca tea, staying hydrated,
and avoiding heavy meals. Our tours are designed for progressive acclimatization. If the package includes
Rainbow Mountain, it is best to do it at the end.
Yes, most of our packages include a guided visit to Machu Picchu. Transportation is provided by bus from
Cusco/Ollantaytambo to the train station, followed by a train journey (Expedition, Vistadome, or Voyager) to
Aguas Calientes, and finally the bus up to the citadel.
It is mandatory to carry your original passport or the physical ID (DNI) that you used for the reservation.
Without the original document, entry to Machu Picchu and boarding of trains is not permitted.
It is a demanding hike due to the altitude (5,000 meters above sea level). It is recommended to be in good
physical condition and to have spent at least 2 days in Cusco to acclimatize. There is the option to rent
horses in the area to facilitate the ascent.
It is recommended to book at least 3 to 5 months in advance. Tickets for Inti Raymi and Machu Picchu, as
well as space in hotels and trains, sell out quickly for June dates.
June is a season of cold and intense sun. Ideally, dress in layers: light clothing for midday and warm
garments (jackets, gloves, hats) for morning and night. Don't forget sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat.
The packages include breakfasts at the hotels. Additionally, a VIP box lunch is included for the day of Inti
Raymi. Some tours, such as the Sacred Valley or Rainbow Mountain, also include buffet lunches as specified
in the itinerary.
